If your uterus is perforated, your urinary bladder can be perforated, too. This can also cause peritonitis (an inflamed, infected lining of the abdomen) with all of its pain, dangers and necessary reparative surgery.
If your uterus is perforated, your intestines can be perforated, too. This will cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fever, blood in stool, peritonitis (an inflamed, infected lining of the abdomen) and death if not treated quickly enough. A portion of the intestine may have to be taken out, and a temporary or permanent colostomy may be put in your abdomen.
Women who have aborted have significantly higher rates of breast cancer later in life. Breast cancer has risen by 50% in America since abortion became legal in 1973.
Ectopic (Tubal) Pregnancy
An ectopic pregnancy is any pregnancy that occurs outside the uterus. After an abortion, you are 8 to 20 times more likely to have an ectopic pregnancy. If not discovered soon enough, an ectopic pregnancy ruptures, and you can bleed to death if you do not have emergency surgery. Statistics show a 30% increased risk of ectopic pregnancy after one abortion and a 160% increased risk of ectopic pregnancy after two or more abortions. There has been a threefold increase in ectopic pregnancies in the U.S. since abortion was legalized. In 1970, the incidence was 4.8 per 1,000 live births. By 1980 it was 14.5 per 1,000 births.
While all of this is absolute bullshit, the thing that gets me MOST is post abortion syndrome. THAT IS FAKE. THAT IS MADE UP. THAT IS NOT A THING. Any organization or political movement that actually LIES to women about their fucking health does NOT have their best interests at heart. Also, if you’re so fucking pro-life, how about you actually work to support the living? You know, the multitudes of children living in poverty here in the United States? But no, you care far more about what’s going on inside my uterus than what’s happening to actual living, breathing, loving and loved human beings. Anti-choicers: more concerned with controlling women’s bodies than protecting or saving anyone.
The best part about this? You can act all sanctimonious and paternalistic to your heart’s content, but guess what? Abortion is legal, and if I get pregnant, I’m getting one. And I’m not too worried about PAS.

I will always reblog this because it is so so important.
I just want to nail this to every stable surface I can find. I cannot count the amount of times that I’ve seen fat folks being encouraged, cajoled, and even forced into behaviors that would be recognized as disordered eating/exercising patterns in thin folks.
Pretty much everything that’s done on shows like The Biggest Loser would be called out as pro-ana/pro-orthorexia in a thin person. Exercising past the point that it hurts, to the point where you’re throwing up, even injuring yourself? Berating yourself because you didn’t lose ENOUGH weight this week? Constantly talking about how fat is weakness and thinness will make everything better, about how you can’t stand to be your current weight anymore? Emphasis on weight as a sign of how much control, strength, and worth you have? Viewing food as bad, as a temptation to sin? Constant sharing and talking about tips on how to minimize food intake, how to lose weight?
That sounds exactly like every pro-ana/pro-mia blog I’ve ever seen. It’s also what fat people are told we need to be doing to ourselves until we’re thin.
Women who do nail polish swatches and make a BIG POINT out of including their engagement rings in the photos. WE GET IT, SOMEONE LOVES YOU AND BOUGHT YOU SOME CARBON. THAT IS NOT WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR HERE. Let’s relegate that shit to Facebook where all your friends can go “OOH THAT’S SO PRETTY HOW DID HE PROPOSE” and everyone else who doesn’t feel obligated to be nice to you can roll their eyes and go do more important things, like murder their Sims families.
What’d everyone getting their madres for mother’s day? I feel like I always give her jewelry which, while a pretty safe bet, is getting a little old at this point. Soooo… thoughts?
